Birthday Treats

Wahoo it's my birthday! & i'm 19 today. Love it!

I don't do anything fancy on birthdays, but it's still nice to have a little special day of your own. Today will involve going for a curry with my Nan & Grandad, at Aakash, the world's largest Indian restaurant (situated in Cleckheaton.. .. .. so random) & then probs go out in Leeds with a mate or 2 & get nicely sloshed up. Bring on the Pound-a-Pint Night!



Leaving the Nest

So.. .. .. aside from the birthday babble, got a little story for you.. .. ..

I met a guy at Glastonbury & we ended up talking for like 3 hours, we arranged to meet up later but we both missed each other. Which is a shame cos we got on really fucking well.

However, i remembered the name of his cousin's band he'd told me about & got in touch with his cousin, which in turn Lee (the guy i met) asked for my number.

So from there we'd speak for 1-3 hours a night til eventually i decided to take a little holiday at his house in Wales, he lives next to the sea you see. I planned on going for 3 or 4 nights but ended up staying the week. I seriously didn't wanna come home.

I loved it there. It's just all so, well, quaint & nice. Plus I absolutely adored Lee. I'd never met anyone I get on with so well.

So, I decided I was going to move there! I came home & told Kane about it & also that I felt our relationship had met it's natural end. He wasn't very happy about it for obvious reasons, but i'm being selfish for once. (i'm so ruthless i know!)

I'm going to be moving this weekend. I've started packing already & Lee's driving up on Friday, we're spending the weekend here paying visits & saying goodbyes then driving back to Wales on Sunday

I'm soooooo excited. Everyone thinks i'm nuts, but it just feels like the ideally perfect thing for me to do. & on the off chance things do go wrong, i'll survive, i'm sure of it.

I was very happy yesterday when i went to tell college I was leaving. I expected a lecture, but Matthew (my photography tutor) just thought it was brilliant & was really happy for me. He said it was like i was living the little fantasy of running away to the seaside, which is spot on! Also he mentioned that i'm just one of those people who don't mix very well with the education system. Not cos i'm thick, just cos of how i work.

So, i probably won't be on much coming up to the move, & then it'll take a couple of weeks probably to get the internet on down there.

Wish me luck Plus i've got a headfull of photo ideas for when i get down there.
